This was the 2023 line up – We will update this page as soon as the 2024 schedule is in place.

In addition to all the art, art demos, activities for kids, food and coffee trucks, and the margaritas, the Chico ART Festival will features a music and dance stage with tables and a margarita bar under a big tent outdoors at St John’s Episcopal Church, 2341 Floral Ave, in Chico.  

Here is our Live Music & Dance Line Up:

Friday, May 12 | 4 pm to 8:30 pm (art booths close at 8pm)

4:00 pm |  Holly Taylor Jazz Trio  – Plays all of your favorite jazz standards and more. The trio boasts a group of veteran musicians; Holly Taylor on Vocals – Winner of the Cammie for “Best Jazz Act” two years in a row. Chris Wenger on Guitar – Chris has a master’s degree in guitar and plays with musicians all over Northern California.  Mark Springer on Bass – Mark is a veteran musician who in addition to the jazz trio also plays music with Jimmy Craig and Carey Robinson.  Enjoy their late afternoon performance of smooth, vocal jazz and upbeat bossa nova tunes. 

5:45 pm |  Children’s Choir of Chico Three of our choirs, Cantiamo and the Bel Canto/Bella Voce ensembles will perform a selection of songs from many genres. The choirs are conducted by Susan Tevis, Mary Jensen-Thackery and accompanied by Patricia Kelly on the keyboard.

6:15 pm |  Brittany and the Blisstones – A tropical breeze is wafting in from Chico, California, gently blowing away fear and pain, and easing in a sweetly reflective time of emotional candor, empowerment, and healing. Coming through the air is the lilting island-pop of Brittany and the Blisstones, a band that specialize in elegantly adorned, heart-crafted songs. With Brittany Bliss, Dallas Darnell, Tito Pomart, and Reid Givens

8:00 pm | Alaya Crystal and Dancing Light Arts
Be prepared to be dazzled with an illuminating fire dancing show by Alaya Crystal and Friends!  From magical wings, whimsical umbrellas, to fun dance choreography with a variety of fire props, and streaking balls of fire, Alaya Crystal and Dancing Light Arts will give a fun and inspiring dance performance for a memorable close to Friday’s festivities at the Chico Art Festival! 

Saturday, May 13 | 10 am to 5 pm

10:00 am |  Warren Haskell – Classical Guitar

12:00-Noon |  Ballet Folklorico De Chico –  Mexican dance tradition directed by Francis Miranda

1:00 pm |  Chico Latin Orquesta Pequeña – Katarra Shaw + Guests Members. This group is passionate about bringing the Afro Caribbean rhythms of Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue and Bachata to the North State. As individuals they are multi-instrumentalists, dancers and artists who cross many genres of music. Chico Latin Orquesta is where they come together with their different backgrounds and talents as musicians to express their own version of latin music. !Sabroso! Bring your dancing shoes and have a margarita before and after this set!

3:00 pm |  John Seid & Friends – Featuring John, Steve Cook, and Chris Wenger. Eclectic set of classics from many genres, fun music with meaning, hope, and good feelings.
