I retired recently, and approximately three years ago, I saw a show called Maine Cabin Masters. The show featured a local artist, Doug Frati, who did woodcarving. I was impressed with his work, and he became a mentor who inspired me to start 2D woodcarving as an art expression. I have enjoyed doing woodcarving ever since.
Almost three years ago, I also started taking classes at Pat Koszis Ceramic Studio. It’s been great being a part of a group and expressing myself through clay creation.
Bette Alter is one of the exhibitors at Chico Art Festival, May 10 & 11, 2024 outdoors at St John’s Episcopal Church on Floral Avenue in Chico.
Yeah Aunt Bette so happy for you! Love your work…
I was at the recent art festival in May, and was very interested in a couple of specific carvings. At the time, I wasn’t able to purchase one. I am interested to know if you still have either of the ginko leaf carvings for sale.
Thank you very much
