These hand-crafted cedar stools come from Casa Guillermo, located at 3,000 feet in the foothills of Butte County. In September 2020, a firestorm raged down the Feather River, destroying everything in its path. What were once beautiful, fragrant cedar trees quickly became charred-black skeletons. The stools remind us how temporary life is and what a blessing it is just to be alive.
Tree rings puzzle, cedar wood, 2 1/2 “ tall by 14”, $25-32. These puzzles are designed with education in mind. Work the 12 or 30 piece puzzle to rebuild a tree round, then count the rings, examine the critter holes and marvel at the rich patterns from branches and wood growth. Suitable for age 4 +.

Bill Perry is one of the exhibitors at the upcoming Chico ART Festival, which will take place on May 10th and 11th, 2024. The festival will feature about 40 artists displaying their artwork on the beautiful grounds of St. John’s Episcopal Church located on Floral Avenue in Chico.
