Cinde Nelson will be one of the exhibitor at the Chico ART Festival, Friday and Saturday, May 12 & 13, outdoors on the beautiful grounds of St John’s Episcopal Church on Floral Avenue in Chico. Here is her artist statement:
I enjoy the process of working with watercolor. The white of the paper and the transparency of the colors are fresh and inspiring to me. The task of sculpting things out of a flat surface and turning them into images that reflect my view of life is rewarding. I often combine subjects in unusual ways in order to tell a picture story. I also use various patterns in my backgrounds.
