Growing up as a member of a family of makers, where working wit ones hands was valued. I was drawn to leatherwork in high school. It became my medium of choice because of its tactile nature, color variation, and the functionality of the work made.

I began to show and sell my work professionally in 1979 and did show at many national shows. I continue to enjoy this medium, and designing in asymmetrical shapes. The colors and textures still inspire me as I design new pieces this many years into the craft.
