Sheryl Cummings will be exhibiting her work at the Art at the Matador, May 10th and 11th. She says: “Arts and Crafts bring such beauty and satisfaction to my life that I find it hard to not try every type of art and craft that I come across. I am insatiable…”
She has tried her hand at Silk painting, Batik, Macrame, Knitting and Crocheting, Jewelry and Lost Wax Casting, Mosaics, Fimo Clay, Paper Clay, Clay Sculpture, Acrylic and Oil painting, Decoupage, Clothing Design, Soap making, Candle Making and at one time was part owner of a Ceramic/Pottery store in Chico. She could concentrate on just one type but why? Sheryl loves them all… and she is at her happiest when working on something that just flows together, the beauty of which she hopes will bring happiness to those who see and enjoy what she created.
Sheryl states: “I feels privileged to live in a community that supports the arts as much as Chico does and I feel lucky to know so many of the talented artists who live and work here. We all inspire each other.”
